| The goal of this training is to familiarize the attendees from law enforcement agencies, school districts, and community stakeholders with the most current information on contemporary gang trends, gang identifiers, and school violence issues. Intervention and prevention strategies will also be covered during this conference. Additionally, the training will encompass the following topics;
• Introduction to Street Gangs (101)
• Female Gangs
• Western New York Region Gangs
• Gangs in Schools
• Dealing with the At-Risk and Gang Involved Youth.
• A Horse’s Friend (Intervention Program)
• Teen Empowerment Presentation (Youth Roundtable )
This training is being conducted by some of the nations leading authorities who are highly respected and well versed on this alarming and growing nationwide epidemic of gang violence. Throughout the two days of training the participants will learn modern strategies to help promote prevention of gang activity and school violence. The East Coast Gang Investigator’s Association and the ETR: Iroquois Job Corps believe this training will enlighten and empower the attendees with solutions which will help combat gang violence, and begin the process for community peace.
