ECGIA NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER 2nd ANNUAL TRAINING CONFERENCE [5/5/2008 - 5/8/2008]

The training is being held in a partnership with ECGIA New England Chapter, NESPIN, US Attorney’s Office for the State of Massachusetts, Bristol County Sheriff’s Office and Taunton Police Department. Topics are centered on “working and communicating across jurisdictional lines” and will include an east coast overview of gangs, dealing with non-fatal gang shootings, Latin Kings, Gangster Disciples, Operation Safe Street initiatives, Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs, Bloods, Crips, Asian Gangs, ICE operations and resources, Mexican Gangs, Interview Techniques and a Vice Presidents roundtable presentation of gangs in the Northeastern portion of the United States. Western New York Region Gang Prevention Conference [5/29/2008 - 5/30/2008]

The goal of this training is to familiarize the attendees from law enforcement agencies, school districts, and community stakeholders with the most current information on contemporary gang trends, gang identifiers, and school violence issues. Intervention and prevention strategies will also be covered during this conference.
